THE GRADUATE!

Candice Estfan (DCC 2004, 05) graduated with Honors from the University of North Texas on December 17, 2011. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in sociology and a minor in communication studies. She also made the Dean’s List and is a member of the TAU Sigma National Honor Society!

GO DADDY!

Erica Jenkins (DCC 2007, 08) was featured in the Go Daddy! commercial that ran during the SuperBowl.  She shared the multimillion timeslot with Danica Patrick and the Pussycat Dolls.  Here’s the commercial- Erica is the red headed bombshell!

GOOD KID!

Allana Moore Luterman’s (DCC 1994, 95) daughter, Ariana, has started her own charity, ‘Team Ariana’.  This concept allows Ariana to “realize my dream of unifying my two passions in life - triathlon racing and helping children”.   The beneficiary of her efforts is the Vogel Alcove.  For 25 years, it has provided free quality child development services for Dallas' youngest victims of poverty: homeless children 6 weeks to 5 years old.  Channel 4 aired a wonderful video about Ariana’s efforts:

AVON WALK 2012

Brooke Sorenson Nix (DCC 2006, 07, 08, 09, 10) participated in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on May 5th in Washington, DC.  Brooke, however, ran the 39 mile/2 day event with a few other baseball wives when her husband’s team, the Phillies, played the Nationals in DC. 

DALLAS MOST BEAUTIFUL

Hollie Huggins Lowry (DCC 1996) was selected as one of the ‘Ten Most Beautiful Women in Dallas 2011’ by D Magazine!  Love the quote in the article below, “I can change your oil, but I can’t make you dinner!”  Way to go Hollie!

TWO x TWO FOR AIDS & ART

Amy Merriman Phelan, DCC (1991, 92, 93) and one of the top 200 art collectors in the country, chaired the black tie event, Two x Two for AIDS & Art in October of 2011!  Her achievement was featured in both the Dallas Morning News and Paper City Magazine......

A TV STAR/ AUTHOR IS BORN!

Melissa Rycroft Strickland (DCC 2006, 07) has a brand new tv series, Friday nights at 9:30/8:30c on CMT! Melissa is about to embark on her biggest journey yet -- moving to Los Angeles to pursue her Hollywood dreams.


Melissa has just released her first book as well!  ‘My Reality’ discusses her life in the realm of reality tv.

RISING STAR!

Abigail Klein (DCC 2007, 08, 09) is at it again!  Not only is she appearing in the new Adam Sandler movie, ‘That’s My Boy’, she is featured in the new Easton Corbin music video, ‘Lovin You is Fun’, shot down in Austin!  I’ve also heard from a few LA alums that she’s showing up on the cover of several industry mags as a rising star!

DANCIN’ QUEEN!

Stephanie Heymann (DCC 2010) recently appeared on an episode of ‘The Voice’ dancing with FloRida!  The video is a little grainy, but she’s the blonde....  You go girl!

WORLD CHAMPIONS!

Lauren Castillo (DCC 2008) just received her ring for being a member of the 2011 World Champion Dallas Mavericks!  Lauren is retiring from the Mavericks this year, but she will always have this token of that special season....

YOGI IN THE HOUSE!

‘Glass House’, that is!  Elizabeth Perry (DCC 1996) recently appeared on an episode of ‘Glass House’!  Below is the link to the link to the show- she appears 25 minutes in and you can leave comments on this site.  It can be about yoga, Elizabeth, or a wild or fun idea you would like to see incorporated in the yoga class.
