October- Prayer Circle
*** Teri Richardson (DCC ’78-83), one of the most prominent faces of the DCC in the late 70s and early 80s, has been found in Bay City, Texas. She is currently in stage four of her battle with colon cancer. I’ve spoken to her, as many of you have, and she is in good spirits and is so happy to hear from her fellow DCC sisters. I hope you enjoyed the newspaper article and the interview as much as I did.
Teri was a Group Leader for several years and unfortunately we found her a week too late to participate in the ESPN photo shoot. This is why it is so critical for us to find all of our DCC sisters. None of us are getting any younger, and we need to locate everyone before it’s too late.
*** Vicki Bennett Nickerson (DCC ’89-91) lost her battle with cancer last month. 15 of her alumni sisters attended the service all wearing our trademarked yellow rose. If you haven’t already, please contact Shelly Boston Bramhall (sbramhall@dallascowboys.net) with photos and stories of Vicki for a book she is compiling for her children.
*** Rhonda Cumby Dawson (DCC ’81-83) is 5 years in with her battle with colon cancer. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
*** Sheila Slaughter Richey (DCC ’87-89) lost her husband, George Richey, on August 16. He is survived by Sheila and their daughter Tatum.
